TS180 UV probe successfully landed on the coating production line

To stabilize product yield and control curing processes, leading domestic adhesive product manufacturers urgently required UV power online monitoring instruments compatible with their proprietary coating line monitoring systems, ultimately selecting the Speedre TS180 UV online monitoring probe. During the selection phase, customers had compared various UV online monitoring probes available in the industry; however, existing market solutions could not achieve centralized real-time data synchronization across all monitoring points when multiple channels were networked on an industrial control terminal interface.  Ⅰ.Deeply understand your needs and jointly finalize a customized solution

This client specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of industrial-grade adhesive materials, electronic-grade adhesive materials, and functional film materials, and operates a mature precision coating production line. To evaluate the feasibility of the TS180 system, the client visited Speedre specifically for technical discussions. Speedre demonstrated the practical performance of multiple TS180 units operating in networked configuration, covering everything from data synchronization to centralized interface display, thereby verifying each core function module of the supporting software and alleviating the client's concerns regarding multi-point centralized monitoring. During the meeting, the client provided detailed information about the layout specifications of the coating production line and clarified the expected usage scenarios and installation requirements for UV online monitoring probes.Following several rounds of discussion, the customized requirements were finalized.

① Dedicated rigid tube rotating telescopic probe, suitable for film coating applications

To accommodate the actual operating conditions of the coating production line, Speedre made five targeted modifications to the probe:

Ball-shaped probe: Designed for coating production lines operating at high speeds, this probe eliminates sharp edges that could cause scratches or film damage upon contact with hard surfaces. Even accidental contact with the film will not harm customer products.

Scalable design: Given variations in film thickness, UV lamp height, and coating process parameters across batches, this adaptable configuration allows flexible adjustment of detection distance, ensuring the probe remains at optimal height for accurate measurement.

Rotatable design: Two sets of UV lamps are positioned above and below the coating production line. The rotatable mechanism allows the same probe to be flexibly adjusted for upward or downward detection, while enabling precise angle adjustment to align with the light source center.

Hardened flexible hoses: Production lines with coating processes often experience air flow and equipment vibrations, causing the hoses to shake and resulting in significant data fluctuations; rigid hoses offer excellent stability—maintaining their shape without sagging during prolonged operation and ensuring consistent inspection distances; with cables housed within these rigid tubes, production lines maintain a neater layout while preventing cable friction against the film.

Enhanced mounting base:The square base with sliding grooves can be directly secured to the production line frame, ensuring stable and displacement-free installation; maintains excellent height and positional consistency when installed in multiple units; eliminates the need for custom mounting brackets, thereby shortening on-site deployment time.

Multi-unit networking capability: Multiple TS180 units can be networked synchronously via the RS485 communication interface, with subsequent upgrades supporting up to 220 units simultaneously connected, fully meeting large-scale production line expansion requirements.
